Ur-Mu @ Bukit Bintang is the first of the Urban Museums, a series of galleries that showcase selected artworks from the private collections of different art patrons. This particular Ur-Mu features artworks across 10 themed gallery spaces, a roof-top sculpture garden, and a Balinese garden to commemorate the late landscape maestro from Bali, Pak Made Wijaya. Since opening its doors in 2022, it quickly became one of the top tourist attractions in Kuala Lumpur being the first of its kind located in the bohemian sector comprising quaint residential streets with low-rise 1950s modernist style architecture in the centre of Kuala Lumpur. The collection is eclectic, regional and conveys some of the aspirations and moods of the recent era.
