Objective

To promote thedevelopment of visual arts and music education in the country. To enhance students’ artistic talents by providing them with opportunities to pursue Diploma-level studies in these fields through scholarship offers.

Prizes

  • 10 Grand Prizes(8 for ART category & 2 for MUSIC category)
    Winners will receive a full scholarship (including a Lee Kar Yeow Scholarship, a Khoo Siong Chi Scholarship, and a Dr. Grace Chen Scholarship). Each scholarship is valued at approximately RM41,400and includes a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize.
  • 5 Excellence Prizes(4 for ART category & 1 for MUSIC category)
    Winners will receive a half scholarship, with each scholarship valued at approximatelyRM20,700, along with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize.
  • 65 Consolation Prizes (50 for ART category & 15 for MUSIC category)
    Each winner will receive a consolation prize and a certificate of appreciation.
  • 1 Special Award
    The school with the highest number of entries either for ART or MUSIC will receive this award.

Participation Eligibility

  1. Only for Malaysian students
  2. Form 4 to Form 6 students in national secondary schools
  3. OR Senior Middle I, II and III students in private Chinese secondary schools
  4. OR Grade/Year 10 to Grade/Year 12 of Canadian/American/Australian curriculum
  5. OR O-Level students of British curriculum.
  6. Past winners of full scholarship are not eligible to participate in the competition.
