An intro to crafting images that tell stories and spark conversations. β¨
Beginning Illustration is a four-session course perfect for anyone who loves illustrated books, posters, games, album art…and wants to make them.
You’ll learn to tell visual stories for yourself and for clients. Expect plenty of hands-on exercises, demos, homework, feedback, and geeking out about illustration. We’ll also discuss freelancing basics.

Special intro rate of RM160/session, RM640 for the full course. Traditional and digital media welcome. Some experience and comfort with drawing or doodling is recommended.
The course is taught by Charis Loke, a freelance illustrator, comics editor, and former Seni teacher. She’s worked on projects ranging from editorial nonfiction to fantasy maps and visual reportage with clients like Netflix, Orbit, Macmillan, HarperCollins, Amnesty International, and Mekong Review.
