‘A Colloquy’ (8 April – 17 May 2025) – Group Exhibition
Opening on 8 April 2025, Wei-Ling Gallery presents A Colloquy, a group exhibition, curated by Prissie Ong, that brings together 8 artists whose works challenge the viewer’s perception of language and font, highlighting the inherent fluidity and interpretive nature of text in art.
Featuring Choy Chun Wei @chunweichoy (Malaysia), Cian Dayrit @sayawciansayaw (Philippines), H. H. Lim @hh_lim_ (Malaysia), Ivan Lam @ivan.lam.art (Malaysia), Kameelah Janan Rasheed @kameelahr (United States), Marcos Kueh @marcoslah (Malaysia), Tan Zi Hao @tanzihao__ (Malaysia), and Yin Yin Wong @yinyinyinwong (The Netherlands), the exhibition showcases diverse approaches to language– whether through deconstructed scripts, abstract letterforms, or compositions where words dissolve into visual rhythm. Notably, this exhibition marks the first time Cian Dayrit and Kameelah Janan Rasheed are showing in Malaysia.
