Step into the evocative world of Sanguinella: Ink and Fire, the latest art exhibition by Malaysian surrealist Alexdrina, also known as Alexoid Luce. Taking its name from the deep red-orange hue “Sanguinella,” the exhibition is an expression of emotion, identity, and self discovery captured through striking ink work and symbolic use of fire.

At the heart of the exhibition is a recurring central character, born during the quiet introspection of the pandemic. Initially sketched in the pages of Alexdrina’s journal, this figure has evolved into a powerful vessel for inner dialogue, embodying thoughts and emotions that feel universally familiar.
Each piece resonates with surreal yet relatable imagery, inviting viewers to see fragments of themselves within the art. From ink-drawn portraits to porcelain-inspired interpretations, Alexdrina’s work spans both 2D and decorative 3D mediums — blending visual storytelling with a tactile sense of presence.

In collaboration with FabKL, the exhibition also features a range of thoughtful, environmentally conscious merchandise. Visitors can take home pieces of the experience through postcards that double as mobiles, artist-designed tote bags, and even whimsical creations like a custom-designed snakes and ladders game, all crafted with sustainability in mind.
